In the Junior Knockout One-Day Tournament Pre-Quarterfinals on Monday, both the batters and bowlers impressed.
In the first match, Animesh Paul smashed a brilliant 193 off 103 balls also bagging 5 for 37 as Gymkhana beat Bansdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association by 6 wickets. Bansdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association scored 281. Gymkhana scored 284/4. Bishal Sikhari (76), Yash Dwivedi (67), Divyanshu Prajapati (3-46) impressed.
In other matches, Bhupendra Singh (128), Ansh Pandey (4-41), Ashish Kumar (3-29), Rik Samadder Choudhary (3-38) helped South Suburban Club beat Ballygunge Sporting Association by 51 runs. South Suburban Club scored 269/9. Ballygunge Sporting Association scored 218.
