Eden Gardens witnessed yet another historical milestone on 17 November 2011 – the afternoon of the fourth day of the second Test between India and West Indies. The first half of the Test belonged to the Indian batsmen wityh V.V.S. Laxman (176 not out), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (144) and Rahul Dravid (119) scoring tons and India putting up a mammoth 631 for 7 declared. Pragyan Ojha (4 for 64) and Yadav (3 for 23) broke the backbone of the West Indies batting and they were bundled for 153. Following on, the West Indies did put up a heroic resistance. Darran Bravo played a superb knock of 136, ably supported by Marlon Samuels (84). But that was not enough to prevent India from its 75th win in Test Cricket out of a total of 231 Tests at home. And that too in style – by an innings and 15 runs. Overall, this was India's 112th Test win out of 457 Tests.
