Bengal outclass Haryana, storms into Ranji Trophy

Riding on Shahbaz Ahmed’s brilliant bowling effort, Bengal outclassed Haryana by 188 runs in their final Elite Group C game in Lahli on Saturday to enter the quarterfinals unbeaten.
Shahbaz (5-42 & 6-38) was awarded the player of the match for his 11-wicket haul in the game.
With 36 points in their bag, Bengal march into the last eight as group-toppers with five wins, two draws from seven games.
Chasing 294 to win, Haryana were bundled out for 105 in 26.1 overs in their second innings. Besides, Shahbaz, Mukesh Kumar (2-40), Vikas Singh (1-6) and Akash Deep (1-21) were superb with the ball.
Earlier, after posting 193 in their first innings, Bengal bundled out Haryana for just 100 to bag a vital lead. In their second innings, Bengal posted 200 with skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran scoring a fighting 83.
