Goa bag first innings lead as match against Bengal ends
in draw in Cooch Behar Trophy

The Cooch Behar Trophy Elite match between Bengal and Goa ended in a draw with Goa bagging first innings lead at the Bengal Cricket Academy, Kalyani on Thursday.
Bengal, currently in third spot with 15 points from 4 games, having won two, lost one and drawn one in Elite Group D, face a must-win against in their next match against UP to qualify for the next stage.
Earlier, batting first, Bengal scored 325 in their first innings. In reply, Goa posted 352.
Bengal, in their second innings, scored 255/9 to hand 229-run target to Goa. Abhiprai Biswas (72) and skipper Chandrahas Dash (65) impressed with the bat.
Chasing the target, Goa were 126/6 at stumps on the fourth and final day.
Rohit Kumar Das (2-23), Rohit (2-33), Sachin Yadav (1-15) and Shivam Bharati (1-10) were the pick of the bowlers for Bengal.
