In the J.C Mukherjee T20 Tournament Pre-Quarterfinals on Thursday, both the batsmen and bowlers dominated.
In the first match, Sumit Mohanta (5-16), Writtick Chatterjee (64), Satyaki Dutta (64) helped East Bengal Club beat Sporting Union by 126 runs. East Bengal posted 222/7 in 20 overs. Vipin Chandra bagged 4 for 26. In reply, Sporting Union were bundled out for 96. Vikas Singh and Akash Ghatak bagged 2 each.
In other matches, Ranjot Singh Khaira (79 off 30) helped Mohun Bagan beat Police Athletic Club by 5 wickets. Pritam Ghosh (47) helped Police Athletic Club post 158/7 in 20 overs. Sayan Ghosh and S Yadav bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, Mohun Bagan scored 159/5 in 14.4 overs. Vikas Singh scored 37. Saurav Kumar bagged 3 for 35.
Chirag (47 not out) helped Bhowanipur Club beat BNR Recreation Club by 7 wickets. BNR Recreation Club were bundled out for 131 in 19.4 overs. Aamir Gani and Shakir Habib Gandhi bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, Bhowanipur Club scored 133/3 in 13 overs. Vivek Singh (38), Habib Gandhi (30) impressed.
Kidderpore Sporting Club beat Uttarpalli Milan Sangha by 146 runs. Samik Karmakar (67), Badal Singh Balyan (64), Uvais Ahmad (38 off 22), Deepak Punia (38 off 19) helped Kidderpore Sporting Club post 239/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha were bundled out for 93. Deepak Punia bagged 3 for 18 while Roshan Singh, Akhilesh Yadav and Brijesh Sharma claimed 2 each.
