In the CAB Second Division League quarterfinal encounters on Tuesday, both the bowlers and batters dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Labib Khan (5-66), Sandipan Dey (4-80) impressed with the ball for Behala Friends Union Club. Rajveer Roy (76), Subham Goswami (69), Tamoghna Ghosh (54) helped White Border Club post 273. Behala Friends Union Club were 31/1 at stumps.
In other matches, Akshay Chauhan (86) helped Cricket Club of Bhowanipur score 265. Sayak Jana (4-39), Rakesh Mahata (3-67) impressed with the ball. Calcutta Cricket Club were 57/4 at stumps.
Lukmaan Ansari (4-58), Dipanshu Sarkar (3-55) helped Star Sporting Club bowl out Suburban Club for 224. Alok Sharma (58) impressed. Star Sporting Club were 12/2 at stumps.
Debarun Biswas (84), Akash Mondal (46) helped Vijay Sports Club post 271. Soubhagya Sundar Pakreh (4-105) and Rakesh Gond (3-86) impressed. Balak Sangha were 16/0 at stumps.
