In the CAB First Division Relegation Tournament First Round matches on Saturday, both the bowlers and batters dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Aryan smashed a brilliant 172 off 200 balls as Uttarpalli Milan Sangha scored 335. Abhishek Sakuja (4-66) impressed with the ball. In reply, Paikpara Sporting Club were 12/0 at stumps.
In other matches, Devkaran Singh scored a brilliant 127 while Soumyadip Manna (50) also impressed as Dakshin Kalikata Sansad scored 337/9 at stumps. For Indian Boys Athletic Club, Biplab Roy Chowdhury bagged a superb 5 for 91.
Rahul Prasad (5-90) and Surveer Chandra (4-89) were superb with the ball for Tollygunge Agragami. Pijush Laha (57), Raunak Singh (43), Dipak Shaw (43) helped YMCA (College Branch) post 290/9 at stumps.
Abhijeet Bhagat (68), Mohit Roy (40) helped BNR Recreation Club post 258. Saurav Kumar (4-73), Pratik Ranjan (2-57) were impressive with the ball. In reply, Police Athletic Club scored 50/1 at stumps.
