East Bengal crowned champions of
P. Sen Invitational Tournament

Riding on a brilliant all-round performance, East Bengal Club outclassed Md Sporting Club by 177 runs in the summit clash on Wednesday to emerge champions of P. Sen Memorial Invitational Tournament.
Put into bat, East Bengal club posted a challenging 339/5 in 50 overs at the JU, Salt Lake Campus ground.
Sandipan Das (101 off 117 balls), Agniv Pan (76 not out 71), Amitoze Singh (65 off 42) and Sumit Kumar (30 not out off 9) were superb with the bat for East Bengal.
For Md Sporting Club, Toufik Uddin Mondal (2-54) and Nilkantha Das (2-88) were the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, Md Sporting Club were bowled out for 162 in 29.3 overs. Lalit Yadav top-scored with a fighting 47.
Ayan Bhattacharya (4-48), Sumit (2-25), Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (2-47) were brilliant with the ball for East Bengal.
