East Bengal Club will take on Kalighat Club while Md. Sporting Club will be up against Mohun Bagan AC in the semifinals of the P. Sen Memorial Invitational Tournament scheduled to take place on Monday.
In the third quarterfinal match on Saturday, Anustup Majumdar (92 off 85) batted superbly while Debopratim Halder (4-69) was brilliant with the ball as Kalighat Club defeated Barisha Sporting Club by 6 wickets.
Batting first, riding on brilliant knocks by Priyanshu Shrivastava (124) and Kazi Junaid Saifi (92), Barisha Sporting Club posted 302/9 in 50 overs.
In reply, Kalighat Club chased the target down scoring 305/4 in 45 overs. Writam Porel (60), Pramod Chandila (43) and Upendra Yadav (42 not out) were impressive with the bat.
In the fourth quarterfinal, Dev Lakra (65) and B Amit (3-34) helped Md Sporting Club beat Bhowanipur Club by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Bhowanipur Club scored 241 in 48.3 overs, thank to Abhimanyu Easwaran (68), Aamir Gani (46). Aritra Chatterjee (2-38) and Toufik (2-24) were the pick of the Md Sporting bowlers.
In reply, Md Sporting Club chased the target down scoring 242/6 in 47.1 overs. Manendra (56), Sambit Roy (31) impressed with the bat. Ravi Kumar bagged 2 wickets.
