In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Monday, both the bowlers and batters impressed on Day 1.
In the first match, Sudhanshu Pandey (158) and Satyam Patra (137) helped Cossipore Club post 434. Aritro Nandi and Ankit Sharma bagged 3 wickets each. In reply, Calcutta Rangers were 22/1 at stumps.
In other matches, Rishikesh Rishi (7-47) was superb with the ball as Satya Sandhi bowled out Bani Niketan Sports Club for 168. In reply, Satya Sandhi were 21/0 at stumps.
Sourav Poddar (5-26), Md Sahid Sardar (54) helped Bantra Cricket Club beat Bata Sports Club by 5 wickets. Afnan Molla bagged 4 wickets.
Raj Sagar (5-42), Arnab Kuila (3-39), Arnendu Sarkar (51) helped WB Association of the Deaf beat Friends Athletic Club by 4 wickets. Vilas Joshi (52, 3-54) impressed.
Animesh Adhikari (5-18), Krishna Basfore (4-22), Bivanshu (46) helped Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute beat Central Calcutta Sporting Club by 9 wickets.
Soham Manna (103) helped Mouri Sporting Club post 300. Akash Yadav, Ayaz Uddin Siddik, Nabojyoti Basu bagged 3 wickets each. In reply, Excelsiors Club were 71/1 at stumps.
Friends Sporting Union posted 298, thanks to Akhilesh Yadav (66), Sachin Yadav bagged 4 wickets for Amateur Cricket Club.
Albert Sporting Club posted 292, thanks to Aman Kumar Pandit (69), Harshit Giri (56). Ajay Yadav bagged 5 for 101. In reply, Calcutta University Institute scored 13/0 at stumps.
Harihar Sarkar (4-35), Samarjeet Singh (55) helped Ariadaha Sporting Club beat Abasar by 5 wickets. Utsav Tarafdar bagged 4 wickets.
