IPS XI beat CAB XI by 6 wickets in Friendship Cup

In a thrilling Friendship Cup cricket match at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, IPS XI defeated CAB XI by 6 wickets.
Batting first, CAB XI, led by CAB Joint Secretary Debabrata Das, managed to post 147/9 in 20 overs. Rohan Banerjee top-scored with a fine 50 off 30 balls, with 8 fours.
In reply, IPS XI chased the target down, scoring 149/4 in 18.4 overs. Bholanath Pandey top-scored with a match-winning 39 off 22 balls.
For his fine bowling, Palash Dhali won the best bowler award for his two wickets. Rohan Banerjee of CAB XI won the best batsman award. The most valuable player award was won by Bholanath Pandey for his 39 runs and 1 wicket. The man of the match for all-round show was give to Pandey Santosh for his 25 runs and 2 wickets. The best fielder award was won by Soumya Roy of IPS XI.
For CAB XI, Sourasish Lahiri also impressed with 26 runs off 11 balls, later on bagging one wicket. Alokendu Lahiri also scored a fine 19 off 15 balls.
With the ball, Shiv Sagar Singh, Alokendu Lahiri and Debabrata Das (Raja) claimed one wicket each for CAB XI.
For IPS XI, Gaurav Sharma scored a fine 34 off 33 while Supratim Sarkar (10), Soumya Roy (15) also impressed with the bat.
With the ball, Rashid Munir Khan, Gaurav Kulhari, Bholanath Pandey, V Solomon Nesa Kumar and Subhankar Bhattacharya bagged one wicket each for IPS XI.
Among the others in IPS XI were Mr Manoj Kr Verma, D.P. Singh, Amit Verma, Yeilwad Shrikanth Jaganath Rao, Rupesh Kumar, Meeraj Khalid, Subhankar Sinha Sarkar, Sumit Kumar, Amit Kumar Shaw, Ajoy Prasad, Rajeev Kumar and Javed Samim.
For the match, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly was present along with other CAB Committee Members and officials.
