Bengal Women's U19 champion

An inspired Bengal Women's U19 team today won the coveted Women's Cricket Under 19 One Day League And Knockout as they suppressed Delhi with a 26-run victory by VJD method in Dehradun today.
The game was stopped three times because of rain and finally after 38 overs in the second innings the game had to be called off and Bengal were declared as champions.
After winning the toss Bengal chose to bat and put on a fighting total of 181 runs on the scoreboard losing all wickets and bowlers did a splendid job by restricting Delhi to 110/5 before the match being called off.
For Bengal Ankita Chakraborty (40) and Kashish Agarwal (49) stiched a 68-run third wicket partnership while Mamata also contributed with a fluent 25.
Madhu was the most prolific among Delhi bowlers by taking 3 wickets for 33 runs.
While bowling Sushmita Ganguly handed Bengal an early breakthrough by sending Mansi Sharma back without scoring any runs and later went on to take one more to finish with a figure of 2-20.
Bengal bowlers maintained pressure on opponent's batters by taking wickets in regular intervals as Tithi Das, Piyali Mondal, Priyanka Sarkar bagged 1 wicket apiece to script history.
