Bantra Cricket Club batters Soumyajyoti Bose and Amarjeet Jha smashed tons to bury High Court Club under a pile of runs poasting 499/8 at the end of the day's play in CAB Second Division League tournament today.
Soumyajyoti hit 181 off 200 balls while Amarjeet missed out on a well-deserved double ton by 9 runs and Souvik grabbed 3 wickets for High Court.
In a nail-biting encounter Baranagore Sporting Club edged past Friends Athletic Club by 1 run thanks to their bowling duo Mrityunjoy Nayek (3-78) and Silajit Chattopadhay (5-78).
Bowlers decided the fate of more two matches as Arin Roy's 6 wickets off 34 runs was well aided by Aditya Dutta's 3-63 in White Border Club's 153-run victory over Ballygunge Sporting Association and Chandranath Thakur picked up 5 wickets to power International Club beat Abasar by 183 runs.
Another centurion of the day was B Shubhradeep who smashed a patient 120 off 203 deliveries to help Taltala finish the day with a score of 376/9 while Cricket Club of Bhowanipore bowlers Manish Kumar grabbed a five-wicket haul.
Md Saif was the hero in Measurers Club's 69-run victory over National Athletic Club as he took 7 wickets in the match while Mohunlal Club chased down Calcutta Cricket Club's target of 141 runs losing just 2 wickets.
Satya Sandhi were beaten by 6 wickets against Jorabagan Club in another match.
