Bagan on course for big total

Mohun Bagan rode on three half-centuries against Sporting Union to end the first day of CAB First Division League tournament Group A (3 days) encounter on 347/5 today.
Bagan lost 3 wickets for 104 runs but Arindam Ghosh stood tall to build up two crucial partnerships of 107 and 82 runs with Sumanta Gupta (54) and Debabrata Das respectively before being removed by Aman Choudhary on 89.
Debabrata remained unbeaten on 73 along with Rakesh (18) at the stumps.
Bagan's arch rival East Bengal restricted Tapan Memorial Club to 178/6 thanks to Sukhwinder Singh's 3 for 36.
EB bowlers did a decent job as Part-time bowler Anustup Majumder also grabbed one wicket B Amit picked up 2 after putting Tapan Memorial to bat first.
Shambazar bowler Akash Pandey registered a five-wicket haul against Bhowanipore to bundle them out for 171 runs while their own scoreboard read 84/2 at the end of the day.
In another match Aryan Club batter Prinann Dutta continued his good form with the willow by smashing a century against Police Athletic Club.
Prinann missed out a well-deserved ton in last match by 10 runs against Town Club in last match scored 116 off 236 balls to help Aryan post 245/5 at the end of the first day's play.
Town Club restricted Barisha Sporting to 186/7 in another game as Mandy bagged 4 wickets for 41 runs.
