21-year-old dies during practice session

Aniket Sharma, a budding cricketer from Kharagpur died after a massive cardiac arrest during a practice session at Tala Park today. The 21-year-old all-rounder who played for for Paikpara Sporting Club was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead already. There was shock and sadness at the Cricket Association of Bengal on receiving the news of sudeen death of the young cricketer, who is survived mother and father. CAB President Sourav Ganguly said: "Heart felt condolences to the family of Aniket Sharma. May his soul rest in peace." CAB Jt Secretary Avishek Dalmiya said: "The news of young Aniket Sharma is shocking to all of us. Deeply saddened by the news. We have postponed their team’s match tomorrow as all his team mates are in a state of shock. Sincere prayers for his soul and condolences to his family." The team's encounter with Milan Samiti in a Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) First Division League match scheduled tomorrow has been postponed by the state association.
