Bengal will go for a win
6th December 2016
Carrying forward the fighting spirit from the last match, leaving behind all questions of progressing further in the tournament, Bengal looks positive before taking on Madhya Pradesh in a Group-A Ranji Trophy match tomorrow in New Delhi.
While, Bengal are placed six in the points table, securing 17 points off 6 matches, Madhya Pradesh are placed fourth, getting 19 off 7.
Keeping in mind the importance of the match, Bengal’s only concern will be their batting, that has been inconsistent so far this season, while the bowling will led by the old fox, Ashoke Dinda, backed by Amit kuila and Sayan Ghosh.
Without hiving the present statistics of Bengal against Madhya Pradesh, in the last five meetings, not going in Bengal’s favour, skipper Manoj Tiwary said, “What is important for us now is go and give our hundred per cent. The match is very important for us, an outright win can bring us a chance in progressing further in the tournament.”
About the wicket, he said, "It again looks to be a green top wicket. We are going with three paces tomorrow. They have done well so far, hope they will carry on with it." he said.
However, On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh also will remain confident, coming from an 232 runs emphatic victory against Baroda in the last match.
