Bengal juggernaut rolls on

Bengal juggernaut continued to roll as they registered their fourth dominating victory in a row in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy by thrashing Rajasthan by 117 runs at Eden Gardens today.
All-round Bengal won the game with one more day's left to play after Ananta Saha five for helped them bundle opponents out for 157 runs in the second innings.
Coach Sourashis Lahiri said: "Any victory is sweet and when it's four in a row it's even sweeter. Our boys worked hard and prepared really well. They believe in their abilities and they have showed that during tough situations. We have played a good team game, the bonding between the players is very good."
Earlier starting the day from 256/6 Bengal were all out for 264 runs and the bowlers were at their best especially Ananta against Rajasthan batters.
Kanishk Seth gave Bengal an early breakthrough by removing opener Y Kothari (5) in the second over.
After Kothari's departure G Avasthi and J Singh put on a mild resistance with a 31-run partnership which was broken by Akash Deep who removed the latter on 19 to reduce Rajasthan to 40/2.
Coach also said: "Our pacers bowled really well. Ritwik's performance with the bat and 40-run last wicket partnership in the first innings are commendable."
Ananta opened his account with the wicket of Avasthi (28) and later went on to take more 4 wickets giving away total 47 runs.
Apart from Ananta who took total 9 wickets in this match, Akash took 2 wickets while Kanish Seth, skipper Ritwik and Shreyan picked up 1 wicket apiece.
