Players eager to perform well: Manoj

Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary believes Bengal team's spirits are high and players are eager to perform well in their Ranji Trophy opener against Himachal Pradesh at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium on 1 November after an disappointing Vijay Hazare Trophy Campaign.
Bengal team has settled down at Amtar for their first Ranji Trophy match against Himachal Pradesh and had a good practice session there under head coach Sairaj Bahutule.
"Spirits are high and the team is eager to do well. Mr Arun Lal spoke to the team today and said what was of utmost importance was to perform on the ground," Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwari said.
Asked about the weather in Himachal, he said: "The weather in Himachal is very pleasant. It will be cold and windy in the morning and in the evening. We practiced today at the ground. The wicket was covered. But we had a good practice session. I spoke to the curator he said he will give a sporting wicket."
