Arup, Krishna give Assam first win

Assam registered their first win in Ranji Trophy this season, chasing 63 runs after Arup and Krishna Das ran through Saurashtra getting them out for a paltry total of 81 in their second innings at the Eden Gardens here today.
The Assam bowlers made it clear from the beginning they will not be settling with only a draw. Arup Das took five for 21 and Krishna Das bagged four to shot out Saurashtra at 81 in only 39.5 overs, managing a lead of only 63 runs.
For Assam, Rishav Das and Sibsankar Roy remained unbeaten at 30 and 24 respectively.
With the win Assam will return with 6 points, while Saurashtra will get nothing.
