Shami, Wriddhi retained for Kiwi series

As expected wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha and Md. Shami made it to the Test team for the forthcoming home series against New Zealand.
Md Shami, who made a comeback after 18 months, was praised by Virat Kohli for his wicket taking form in the Caribbeans. In a recent interview to CAB, Shami said "I will try to continue doing the good work in the home series. I will do my best to stand by my team, support the spinners and play as my captain wants."
Wriddhiman, who scored a century in the third Test at St Lucia against the West Indies has been rewarded for his good work with the gloves.
CAB President Sourav Ganguly wished and hoped they will perform well in the upcoming series against the Kiwis.
India are currently ranked number two on the ICC test rankings, only a point behind Pakistan, while New Zealand are placed seventh.
