Kuila gets sponsor
2nd November 2016
Amit Kuila comes from a humble background from a nondescript locality in the districts of Bengal. From his childhood he dreamt of playing cricket. And cricket has now proved to be his source of salvation.
Under the able leadership of CAB President Sourav Ganguly, Kuila has found a patron. BMS Steel has come forward and promised a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000. This is part of a project that will see 10 talented young cricketers from humble backgrounds being supported by BMS Steel.
A brainchild of Sourav Ganguly, the man himself said: "This is part of a programme where 10 cricketers will be chosen based on their talent and background. We want them to think only about cricket. Develop their skills and leave the rest to us."
Kuila himself was elated. "This will be a great help. Sourav Sir always takes care of the boys. I am grateful."
Kuila broke into the Ranji Trophy scene this year with stellar performance in back to back matches that has helped Bengal rise to the top of their group.
