Bengal, Jharkhand Vijay Merchant Trophy match ends in draw

The Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite match between Bengal U16 and Jharkhand ended in a draw in Cuttack on Sunday with Jharkhand bagging the first innings lead.
Earlier, Bengal scored 221 in their first innings. In reply, Jharkhand scored 249 to bag the all-important first innings lead.
In their second innings, Bengal were 161/6 at stumps on the third and final day.
Rajesh Mondal (67), Chirantan Sahoo (47) were the pick of the batters for Bengal.
Bengal are currently in fourth spot in Elite Group C with four points from two games so far, having drawn both their matches.
