Mayor's Cup final off to a colourful start

The summit clash of the Inter School Under-15 Cricket Tournament Mayor's Cup 2024-25, jointly organised by CAB & KMC in association with KKR, got off to a colourful start at the JU 2nd Campus Ground Salt Lake on Wednesday.
St Johns Public School won the toss and opted to field against Cathedral Mission High School in the final, which is being played in pink ball.
Prior to the start of the match, the inauguration ceremony was a colourful one. MMIC KMC Mr Debasish Kumar, who made his presence felt for the occasion, greeted the players from both sides and wished the youngsters the best for the crucial match.
Mr. Kumar said, "I would like to thank CAB for organizing a cricket tournament at the school level. I hope this tournament can produce more and more cricketers for the future. I wish both teams the best for the final match."
Also present for the occassion CAB Grounds Committee Chairman Mr Madan Mohan Ghosh, CAB School Sub Committee Chairman Mr Sanjoy Dutta, CAB Umpires Committee Chairman Mr Prosenjit Banerjee, CAB Chief Curator Sujan Mukherjee, CAB Junior Selection Committee’s Mr Amitava Chakraborty, Mr Rohan Banerjee, Mr Prabir Acharjee, Mr Satyen Bhattacharya, Mr Soumitro Majumdar, CAB Talent Hunt Committee’s Mr Indu Bhushan Ray, Mr Ranjit Roy along with other CAB officials and members.
The inauguration was well conducted by CAB Observers Committee Chairman Srimanta Kumar Mallick.
