In the CAB Junior Under-15 tournament semifinal matches on Monday, Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy and Mohun Bagan AC bagged easy wins to storm into the summit clash.
In the first semifinal, Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy beat Akbar Cricket Academy by 6 wickets. Triparna Samanta (5-66) helped Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy bowl out Akbar Cricket Academy for 218.
In reply, Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy scored 220/4. Chirantan Sahoo (67) and Rajesh Mondal (57) impressed with the bat. Piyush Karan bagged 3 wickets.
In the second semifinal, Mohun Bagan AC beat Chinsurah Union AC by 65 runs. Mohun Bagan AC scored 221. In reply, Chinsurah Union AC were bundled out for 156. Md Jishan Khan (3-26) and Ayush Kole (2-25) impressed.
