In the CAB First Division Championship Pre-Quarterfinal matches on Saturday, both the bowlers and batters dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (6-55) and Kanisk Seth (3-41) were superb with the ball as East Bengal Club bowled out Calcutta Police Club for 166. Ravikanth Shukla top-scored with 44. In reply, East Bengal Club were 86/3 at stumps. Satyaki Dutta scored 42.
In other matches, Aishik Patel (101), Yuvraj Deepak Keswani (66) batted superbly as Town Club posted 311/7 at stumps. For Aryan Club, Rajarshi Mitra bagged 3 for 92.
Soham Ghosh (92), Abhijit Mal (64), Meghbaran Roy (58) helped Shambazar Club post 304 at stumps. For Tapan Memorial Club, Ankush Tyagi (4-39) was the pick of the bowlers.
Aamir Gani (4-15), Pradipta Pramanik (4-30) and Jayojit Basu (52 not out) helped Bhowanipur Club beat Aikya Sammilani by 9 wickets. Aikya Sammilani were bundled out for 109. In reply, Bhowanipur Club scored 111/1.
B Amit (4-43) and Toufik (4-47) helped Md Sporting Club bowl out Shibpur Institute for 199. Debmalya Chakraborty scored 57. In reply, Md Sporting Club were 100 for no loss at stumps, thanks to Chinmay Jain (66 not out) and Abhishek Bose (27 not out).
Vikas Singh (3-19) and Sayan Ghosh (3-35) helped Mohun Bagan AC bowl out Ballygunge United Club for 198. Subham Singh (49) and Swarnave Ghosal (48) impressed. In reply, Mohun Bagan AC were 123/1 at stumps, thanks to Ranjot Singh Khaira (50), Shantanu (49 not out).
Soummyadip Mandal (3-40), Ankit Mishra (2-48), Balkesh Yadav (2-50) helped Barisha Sporting Club bowl out Rajasthan Club for 230 at stumps. Sharnik Banerjee (65) and Arjun Kumar (54) impressed with the bat.
Subham Chatterjee (76 not out), Koushik Ghosh (71), Shreyansh Ghosh (68), Kaushik Maity (47 not out) and Writam Porel (40) helped Kalighat Club post 313/3 at stumps. For Sporting Union, Vipin Chandra and Divya Prakash bagged 1 wicket each.
