In the CAB First Division League Group C two-day encounters on Sunday, both the bowlers and batsmen dominated on Day 2.
In the first match, Vishal Bhati (93, 5-89) displayed a brilliant all-round show as Monohar Pukur Milan Samity beat Shambazar Club by 1 wicket. Shambazar Club scored 201. In reply, Monohar Pukur Milan Samity scored 202/9.
In other matches, Faizanul Rehman (5-59), Sandip Baishnab (3-29), Sourav Chakraborty (113), Saurabh Tripathi (90) helped Uttarpalli Milan Sangha beat Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club by 273 runs. Uttarpalli Milan Sangha posted 411/8. Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club scored just 138.
Jayesh Kumar Singh (67), Vipin Chandra (4-34), Ramij Raja (40, 2-32) helped Sporting Union beat Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club by 8 wickets. Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club scored 140. Sporting Union scored 141/2.
