In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Thursday, both the bowlers and batters impressed on Day 1.
In the first match, Subhrajyoti Mishra (127) batted superbly as Burnpur Cricket Club posted 296. Sanjiv Kumar Singh bagged 5 for 118. In reply, George Telegraph Sports Club were 83/5 at stumps. Niranjan Raut bagged 2 for 6.
In other matches, Shivam Yadav (117) helped Gymkhana post 335. Cricket Club of Dhakuria’s Joydeep Roy and Sk Md Sharukh bagged 2 wickets each.
Calcutta Parsee Club’s Tej Pratap Yadav bagged 6 for 66. Howrah Sporting Club scored 316, thanks to Gauransh Jain (86), Satadru Kundu (62), Dipesh Chandra (56).
Kingkar Roy (103), Paramjit Singh (55) helped Taltala Institute post 234. Priyankar Mukherjee and Mohammad Sarfaraz bagged 4 wickets each. International Club were 14/1 at stumps.
Shreyam Ghosh (101) helped Aurora Athletic Association post 235. Virat bagged 4 for 34. In reply, Sahapur Sporting Club were 56/2 at stumps. Kaushik Deb bagged 2 wickets.
Sachin Kumar Singh (6-73) helped White Border Club bowl out Bengal Sporting Club for 233. Chandan Sil scored 63. In reply, White Border Club were 54/1 at stumps.
Mohd Arbaaz Mansoori (3-18), Tushar Mondal (3-57), Anand Sharma (2-10), Swarnayan Paul (36) helped Wari Athletic Club beat West Bengal Police Sports Club by 5 wickets.
Sandipan Dey (53), Labib Khan (3-30) helped Behala Friends Union Club beat Baranagar Sporting Club by 6 wickets.
Anjan Gope (68), Sayan Chaudhary (55) helped Mohunlal Club post 205. Subhadip Bhattacharya bagged 5 for 76. Jorabagan Club were 56/4 at stumps. Soojan Basu bagged 2 wickets.
Subhadeep Halder (76), Arijit Mukherjee (75 not out), Avik Das (54 not out) helped YMCA (Chow BR) post 356/6 at stumps. Vijay Sports Club’s Sayan Paul bagged 2 wickets.
Kamal Hassan Mondal (78) helped National Athletic Club post 208. Rakesh Gond, Aman Kumar Prajapati, Soumyajit Dutta bagged 2 wickets. In reply, Balak Sangha were 122/2 at stumps. Harsh Pandey scored 43 not out.
