Bengal is content with 'three' says Manoj

4th November 2017
After dominating on the ground during the four day Ranji epiosde the Bengal side ended up sharing points in their Group D tie against Himachal Pradesh.
In a post match press interaction at the end of the day, skipper Manoj Tiwary said, "The players have put in their hundred percent during the four day affair I feel. We are satisfied with the performance and though it was our home match and we could've managed a win ending up with 6 points we couldn't and that is not disappointing. The team is satisfied as we have played three matches and currently we stand in the third position."
"The pitch as it is has helped both the batsmen and the bowlers and I am happy with the performance of the bowlers who delivered in the third and fourth position. We went for the chase and as it has been witnessed that that we lost wickets untimely and keeping in mind the conditions prevalent during the season we couldn't have managed to play more than fifteen overs. It could've been better but in cricket everything doesnt go the way we want it to. Currently we are focusing on our next match against Vidharbha and we can only hope for good," he added.
"The entire team has delivered really well and we look forward to the same team combination and play good cricket in our upcoming matches. I would say that we are not disappointed with three points and this is going to give the team the fuel to do better and flourish further in the coming matches," said Sairaj Bahutule, Bengal Coach.
The Bengal team however had to be content bringing home three points at the end of their first home match. Punjab leads the table with 15 points, followed by Vidharba on 14 and Bengal on 13.
