CAB gift delights legend Chandu Borde
3rd February 2025
Former India captain and renowned cricketer Chandrakant Gulabrao Borde (Chandu Borde) was elated on being felicitated by The Cricket Association of Bengal.
On behalf of CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, Capt Chinmay Nayak, CEO (CAB), visited Mr Borde's residence in Pune to felicitate and present the former middle-order batsman and leg-spinner with a special memento.
Thanking CAB President Mr Ganguly, Borde said, "I am thankful to Mr Ganguly for the wonderful present and appreciation. It is indeed a wonderful moment for me to receive such an honor from CAB."
The memento presented by CAB found a special place in Mr Borde's heart and in his cabinet, which already contains the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Arjuna Award laurels.
The versatile batsman, who played 55 Tests and 251 First-Class matches, also signed the certificate of appreciation for the blood donors for ‘45th Frank Worrell Day’ blood donation camp 2025, which will be held this year on February 4, Tuesday at the Eden Gardens and at the District Headquarters from February 6 onwards.
CAB celebrates Sir Frank Worrell Day every year to commemorate the great cricketer and the CAB's Foundation Day.
