In the CAB Second Division League two-day league encounters on Monday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Soham Manna (115 not out off 93), Indrajeet Singh (4-52), Aryadeep Mandal (69 not out) helped Mauri Sporting Club beat Cossipore Club by 10 wickets. Cossipore Club scored 192. Mauri Sporting Club scored 193/0.
In other matches, Partha Kundu (113), Dipayan Biswas (76), Md Makshud Ali (57) helped Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute post 385/9. For Bata Sports Club, Piyush Karan bagged 5 for 111 while Afnan Molla claimed 3 wickets.
Sk Md Sharukh (113), Joydeep Roy (51) helped Cricket Club of Dhakuria post 282. Taltala Institute’s Sk Siddik bagged 4 for 89 while Paramjit Singh claimed three wickets.
Bhupinder Singh (6-61), Sohail Ahmed Khan (84 not out) helped International Club beat Sahapur Sporting Club by 9 wickets. Sahapur Sporting Club posted 124. In reply, International Club scored 126/1.
Dipanjan Halder (6-68) and Vikram Kumar (3-34) was superb with the ball for Central Calcutta Sporting Club. Raj Sagar (48), Awkesh Kr Pandey (57) helped WB Association of the Deaf score 198. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting Club were 25/4 at stumps. Awkesh bagged 4 wickets.
Pritam Marjit (93, 1-38), Agastya Shukla (3-48), Krish Singh (3-34), Suhaib Shaikh (52) helped Alipore Sporting Club beat George Telegraph Sports Club by 6 wickets. George Telegraph Sports Club scored 191. Alipore Sporting Club scored 193/4.
Ayaz Uddin Siddik (85), Nabajyoti Basu (4-55), Ankan (3-52), Samrat Chakraborty (61) helped Excelsiors Club beat Calcutta Rangers by 8 wickets. Calcutta Rangers posted 165. Excelsiors Club scored 169/2.
Jahir Khan (3-39), Kaushik Deb (3-35) helped Aurora Athletic Association bowl out Gymkhana for 89. In reply, Aurora Athletic Association scored 19/2 at stumps.
Sasanka Das (62) helped Bansdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association post 249. Viranca Poddar and Labibur Rahman bagged three wickets each. Calcutta Parsee Club scored 44/4 at stumps. Sasanka bagged 4 for 23.
Rohan Das (77), Priyanshu Pramanik (66) helped Mohunlal Club post 307. Amjad Ali bagged 5 for 102. In reply, Ballygunge Sporting Association were 17/0 at stumps.
Pratip Roy (78), Mikael Roy (61), Arpan Aich (56) helped Bantra Cricket Club post 294. Vilas Joshi (4-115) and Anurag Viswakarma (3-80) impressed with the ball. In reply, Friends Athletic Club were 70/1 at stumps.
