In the CAB First Division League Group A league-cum-knockout tournament on Tuesday, both the batters and bowlers impressed, displaying some dominant performances on Day 2.
In the first match, Priyanshu Srivastava smashed a brilliant unbeaten 224 while Rohit Ghosh (74) and Diganta Neogi (65) also impressed as Barisha Sporting Club posted 479/6 decl in their first innings. Earlier, Calcutta Customs Club scored 204 in their first innings. In their second innings, Calcutta Customs were 13/0 at stumps.
In other matches, Lalit Yadav (188), Sambit Roy (128), Gitimoy Basu (113) and Dip Chatterjee (81 not out) helped Md Sporting Club post 636/6 in their first innings. In reply, Town Club were 201/3 at stumps. Suprodip Debnath scored 95 while Akshat Khaitan scored 52.
Mohun Bagan’s Pradeep Kumar bagged 5 for 38 as Tapan Memorial Club were bundled out for 103 in their first innings. Earlier, Mohun Bagan AC posted 341 in their first innings. For Tapan Memorial Club, Rajat Verma (5-83) impressed with the ball. Tapan Memorial, following on in the second innings, were 121/4 at stumps. Kunal Singh scored 65. Prakash Kumar Roy bagged 3 for 11.
Agniv Pan (132 not out), Sandipan Das (119) batted superbly as East Bengal Club posted 474/5 in their first innings. For United Club, Irshad Alam and Sagen Murmu bagged two wickets each. In reply, United Club were 137/5 at stumps. Kanisk Seth bagged three wickets.
Koushik Ghosh (113) batted superbly as Kalighat Club posted 329 in their first innings. Arnab Nandi (4-57) and Akhilesh Yadav (3-98) impressed. Earlier, Kidderpore Sporting Club scored 211 in their first innings. Kidderpore, in their second innings, were 14/0 at stumps.
