CAB congratulates Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh

14th October 2017
The Bengal - Chhatisgarh Ranji Trophy game became a special one for both the sides. While it was the 100th first class match for both Manoj Tiwary and Ashoke Dinda, it was also the first home Ranji Trophy game for the Chhatisgargh.
While congratulating Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh, The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Joint Secretary Avishek Dalmiya stated, "Many congratulations to Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh for hosting their first Ranji Trophy home game in Raipur. I have been privy to the great work done by the association to get the full member status of the BCCI. Therefore, today's glory is a much deserved one for them."
"Also many congratulations to Manoj and Dinda. 100 mark is a significant one in this game. And 100 matches shows the enormous commitment put in by these stalwarts. Moreover, the very fact that they are on top form further shows they are ready for return and are knocking the doors of the Indian Team", Avishek added.
For the record, Ashoke Dinda was awarded the best fast bowler and Manoj was declared as the cricketer of the year for the last cricket season by CAB.
Assistant Secretary, Anu Dutta heaped praise on the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh for their gesture shown to the players of both the teams. "It was fabulous to see the good gesture shown by the Home Association to the players. They not only handed over flowers to each and every member of the Bengal squad on this momentous occasion but also gave special felicitation to Manoj Tiwary and Ashoke Dinda before the start of the game".
"The hospitality shown by the association made us feel at home. CAB already shares reciprocal tour arrangements with Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh and I hope that such sporting gesture would further strengthen our bond in the days to come", Mr Dutta added.
