Bowlers put Bengal in strong position against Baroda in Vijay Merchant Trophy

A dominant performance by the bowlers put Bengal Under-16 team in a commanding position against Baroda at the end of the second day in the Vijay Merchant Trophy in Surat on Monday.
Bengal posted 315 in their first innings, thanks to Agastya Shukla (56), Ankush Chakraborty (51).
In reply, Baroda were bundled out for 105 in their first innings. Aritra Chakraborty (4-12), Akash Tarafdar (3-30), Sachin Yadav (2-31), Agastya (1-12) impressed for Bengal.
Following on, Baroda, in their second innings, were reduced to 25/2 at stumps on Day 2, still trailing by 185 runs. Sachin bagged two wickets for Bengal.
