Akshaz slams superb 137 as Bengal
dominate in Cooch Behar Trophy

Akshaz Giri smashed a brilliant 137 off 212 balls to put Bengal Under-19 team in a commanding position at the end of the second day against Saurashtra in the Cooch Behar Trophy match at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.
After bowling out Saurashtra for just 94, Bengal posted a massive 428 to bag a huge first-innings lead.
Besides Akshaz, Ankit Chatterjee (74), Vishal Bhati (65), Debangshu Pakhira (41) and Agniswar Das (34) also impressed with the bat for Bengal.
For Saurashtra, Mohit Ulva bagged four wickets.
In their second innings, Saurashtra were struggling at 67/3 at stumps on Day 2, still trailing by a massive 267 runs. Yudhajit Guha bagged two wickets while Debangshu claimed one for Bengal.
