Sports Association win in J.C Mukherjee T20 meet

Ballygunge United Club, Tapan Memorial Club, Mohun Bagan, Rajasthan Club and E.Rly.Sports Association registered comfortable victories in their respective group-stage matches in the J.C Mukherjee T20 Tournament on Wednesday.
In the first match, Priyanshu Gautam (26, 2-30), Wafid Mahfooz (46), Amrit Nandy (44) and Aditya Chowdhury (2-21) helped Ballygunge United Club beat Calcutta Police Club by 17 runs. Batting first, Ballygunge posted 159/6. In reply, Calcutta Police Club scored 142/7. Ravikanth Shukla scored 44.
In the second match Akhil (69, 2-17) displayed a superb all-round show as Tapan Memorial Club beat United Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, Rishabh Chaudhary (76 not out) helped United Club post 145/5. In reply, Tapan Memorial scored 146/4.
In the third match, Shantanu (57 not out), Ranjot Singh Khaira (42) and Sanjay (2-24) helped Mohun Bagan beat Town Club by 7 wickets. Batting first, Town Club scored 144/6. In reply, Mohun Bagan scored 150/3.
In the fourth match, Akshay Saini (30 off 14), Vishal Kr Roy (2-22) helped Rajasthan Club beat Kolkata Union Sporting Club by 6 wickets. Somen Mahanti (51 not out) helped Kolkata Union Sporting Club scored 138/4. In reply, Rajasthan Club scored 139/4.
In the fifth match, Dakshin Kalikata Sansad’s V Raj (67) and Soumya Roy Chowdhury (3-22) while Shambazar Club’s Kunal Kumar (3-26) and Swapnadeep Dey (58) were the star performers as their match ended in a tie. Batting first, Dakshin Kalikata Sansad scored 146/8. In reply, Shambazar Club scored 146/8.
In the sixth match, Deepanshu Chaudhary (40, 1-18) and Amit Kumar (30) helped E.Rly.Sports Association beat Indian Boys Athletic Club by 5 wickets. Batting first, Indian Boys Athletic Club scored 119/7. In reply, E.Rly.Sports Association scored 123/5.
