Bahutule hopes players realise their potential

Bengal coach Sairaj Bahutule today praised the selectors for creating a team that has the right mix of young and experienced cricketers.
Talking to the CAB Media team, he said "The selectors have done a commendable job with the team selection. Players who have done well at club level and those that have shown potential have been given a chance. This is the right thing to do."
He praised CAB President Sourav Ganguly and Jt Secretary Avishek Dalmiya for creating the atmosphere where talents can develop. "Vision2020 is a great idea. This is my third year and I am seeing the players are getting a world of experience from the mentors of Vision 2020. These are players who have played successfully at the Test level. Abd to get to pick their brains is a great opportunity," he said.
"Laxman works on the mental aspect of the game. There is a lot of video analysis. Technical aspects are looked into individually by Murali and Sekhar Sir. The players are slowly realising their potential and look to excel."
He also said that the preseason went off veey well and the players look set for the long season. "We have had great indoor and outdoor practice. Practicing at Eden was a privilege. The KSCA meet was good exposure for youngsters and now the pre season matches in Gujarat. We look set dor the season," he said.
