Smashers Malda into final of Bengal Pro T20 League

Riding on a brilliant all-round performance, Sobisco Smashers Malda outclassed Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers by 6 wickets in the semifinal clash to storm into final of the Bengal Pro T20 league at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Mukesh Kumar (5-23) led from the front with a brilliant bowling effort while Writtick Chatterjee bagged 2 for 26 followed by a match-winning unbeaten 50 off 41 balls to steer Sobisco Smashers Malda to a comfortable victory.
Batting first, Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers managed to post 105/9 in 20 overs. Abishek Porel (29) top-scored for his side.
In reply, despite losing two wickets for 1, Writtick and Writam Porel (42) batted superbly from there on as Sobisco Smashers Malda went over the line, scoring 109/4 in 16.3 overs.
Ananta Saha bagged 2 wickets for Kolkata Tigers.
