Bhawanipore, Md. Sporting enter semifinals of JC Mukherjee T20 meet

Bhawanipore Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club registered comfortable victories in their respective quarterfinal matches to seal a place in the semifinals of the JC Mukherjee Memorial Trophy T20 tournament on Monday.
In the first match, Vivek Singh (70), Arindam Ghosh (41), Pradipta Pramanik (3-26), Ravi Kumar (2-11) and Aamir Gani (2-12) helped Bhawanipore Club beat Kalighat by 57 runs.
Batting first, Bhawanipore posted 176/6 in 20 overs. In reply, Kalighat were bundled out for 119 in 17.1 overs.
In the second match, Jayojit Basu (51) and Vikas (2-22) helped Mohammedan Sporting Club beat East Bengal Club by 5 wickets.
Batting first, East Bengal posted 164/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Mohammedan Sporting Club chased it down scoring 167/5 in 19.1 overs. East Bengal's Shreyan Chakraborty bagged 3 for 20 while Writtick Chatterjee claimed 2 for 30.
