Bhawanipore, Md. Sporting enter quarterfinals of JC Mukherjee T20 meet

Bhawanipore Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club registered comfortable victories in their respective pre-quarterfinal matches to seal a place in the quarterfinals of the JC Mukherjee Memorial Trophy T20 tournament on Sunday.
In the first match, Vivek Singh (58), Ritwik Roy Chowdhury (50), Rajkumar Pal (4-29), Pradipta Pramanik (2-18) helped Bhawanipore Club beat Calcutta Port Trust by 8 wickets. Batting first, Calcutta Port Trust posted 117/8 in 20 overs. In reply, Bhawanipore chased it down scoring 119/2 in 12 overs.
In the second match, Avijit Singh (52), Pramod Chandila (3-20), Jayojit Basu (35) helped Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Wari by 8 wickets. Batting first, Wari posted 120/5. In reply, Md. Sporting chased it down scoring 123/2.
