East Bengal take first innings lead after draw against
BNR Recreation Club in First Division League

A dominant all-round performance helped East Bengal Club take the first innings lead after their CAB First Division League Group A match against BNR Recreation Club ended in a draw on Friday.
After posting a challenging 511/8 in their first innings, East Bengal bundled out BNR Recreation Club for 230 to grab the all-important first innings lead.
Writtick Chatterjee smashed a superb 160 while Satyaki Dutta (136), Amitoze Singh (50 not out) also impressed for East Bengal.
BNR Recreation Club, Narayan Rana top-scored with 50 runs.
For East Bengal, Shreyan Chakraborty bagged 4 for 45 while Balkesh Yadav took 4 for 78. Ayan Bhattacharya claimed 2 for 42.
In their second innings, East Bengal were 48 for no loss when stumps were drawn on the third and final day.
In the second match, Mohun Bagan Club took first innings lead after their match against Barisha Sporting Club ended in draw.
After bowling out Barisha Sporting Club for 312, Mohun Bagan posted 313 to grab the first innings lead by just a run.
Avilin Ghosh (61) and Sarul Kanwar (60) were the pick of the batsmen for Mohun Bagan.
For Barisha Sporting Club, Ankit Mishra bagged 5 for 76.
In their second innings, Barisha Sporting were 33 for no loss when stumps were drawn.
The other three matches were abandoned due to overnight rain and softness of the pitch.
