Agastya bags 5, slams 118 as Calcutta Parsse Club win in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Agastya Agarwal bagged 5 for 124 followed by a match-winning superb unbeaten 118 as Calcutta Parsse Club beat Alipore Sporting Club by 5 wickets on the second day in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Wednesday. Suhaib Shaikh (79 not out) helped Alipore Sporting Club post 284. In reply, Calcutta Parsse Club chased it down scoring 285/5.
In other matches, Jayveer Chaudhary smashed a superb 150 along with Shreyan Das (115) while Sk Siddik bagged 5 for 81 as Jorabagan Club beat Howrah Sporting Club by 244 runs. Batting first, Jorabagan Club managed to post 496/8. Shreyom Nandi bagged three wickets. In reply, Howrah Sporting Club were bowled out for 252.
Rohan Rathi scored a brilliant 133 off 88 balls while Abhimanyu Singh bagged 4 for 14 as Sahapur Sporting Club beat Calcutta University Institute by 197 runs. Batting first, Sahapur Sporting Club posted 297. Hrishav Sil and Ariyan Gowala bagged four wickets each. In reply, Calcutta University Institute were bundled out for 100.
Debangshu Pakhira scored a fine 117 along with Varun Agarwal (89) while Vishal Bhati bagged 6 for 72 as Salkia Friends Association beat Central Calcutta Sporting by 72 runs. Batting first, Salkia Friends Association posted 353 For Central Calcutta Sporting, Shaba Ahmad bagged 3 for 64. In reply, despite a fine 116 by Swarup Ghosh, Central Calcutta Sporting were bowled out for 281.
Rupesh Paul (109 not out), Samadrito Biswas (77) and Md Nasir (3-68) helped Baranagar Sporting Club beat International Club by 115 runs. Batting first, Baranagar Sporting Club posted 367. Nayan Nandi bagged 3 for 122 for International Club. In reply, International Club were bowled out for 252.
Raman Singh (82) and Pulak Majumder (5-59) helped Star Sporting Club beat Vijay Sports Club by 127 runs. Batting first, Star Sporting Club posted 280. P Someswar Rao bagged 5 for 83. In reply, Vijay Sports Club were bundled out for 153.
Rahul Yadav (79), Md Imtiaz Al (71) and Sayantan Mahapatra (5-100) helped Victoria Sporting Club beat Abasar by 5 runs. Batting first, Victoria Sporting Club posted 327. Joy Das and Supriyo Pal bagged three wickets each. In reply, despite a fine 108 by Shanu Qureshi, Abasar were bundled out for 322.
Prithibi Mandi (5-35) was superb with the ball Suburban Club beat Ariadaha Sporting Club by 3 wickets. Ariadaha Sporting Club were bowled out for 172. In reply, Suburban Club chased it down scoring 176/7, thanks to Aritra Kar (69).
Kunal Bose bagged 5 for 56 while Sandip Das (50) impressed with the bat as West Bengal Police Sports Club beat Bengal Sporting Club by 2 wickets. Atanu Debnath (64) and Arghya Rakshit (59) helped Bengal Sporting Club post 241. In reply, West Bengal Police Sports Club chased it down scoring 242/8.
