Arijit bags 8 for Star Sporting Club in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Star Sporting Club's Arijit Chowdhury (8-42) and Central Calcutta Sporting's Asif Mondal (8-106) were superb with the ball for their respective teams in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Tuesday.
Both Arijit and Asif displayed a dominant show with the ball, troubling each and every batsmen throughout their spell of bowling. Courtesy of their ruthless bowling, the batsmen failed to put up a decent score on the board for their teams.
In the first match, Arijit impressed with the ball helping his side Star Sporting Club to a comfortable 75-run victory over Ariadaha Sporting Club. Batting first, Star Sporting Club posted 163. Harihar Sarkar bagged 5 for 50. In reply, Ariadaha SC were bundled out for 88.
In other matches, Agastya Agarwal scored a fine 140 to help Calcutta Parsse Club post 366. Asif was superb with the ball. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting were 51 for no loss at stumps.
Ijajuddin (6-23), Govind Rai (4-14) and Khanderkar Aftab Hassan (51) helped Greer Sporting Club best Suburban Club by 125 runs.
Amjad Ali (5-31) and Rohit Sen (5-42) helped Ballygunge Sporting Association beT YMCA (Chow) by 5 wickets.
Subham Yadav (5-59), Mehroz Raza (5-53) and Ankit Singh (76) helped Bata Sporting Club beat Calcutta Rangers Club by 7 wickets.
Jorabagan Club were bowled out for 181. Debojyoti Tapadar bagged three wickets. In reply, Alipore Sporting Club were 134/4 at stumps.
Vijay Sports Club posted 234, thanks to Debarun Biswas (56). Anurag Sarkar (4-43) and Raju Soren (3-40) were impressive with the ball. In reply, West Bengal Police Sports Club were 78/6 at stumps.
Srirup Dutta scored a fine 107 as International Club posted 292. Vishal Bhati and Abhay Kumar bagged three wickets each. In reply, Salkia Friends Association were 96/2 at stumps.
Udeet Sankar Ghosh (119) helped Baranagar Sporting Club post 318. Dibyendu Roy bagged 4 for 100. In reply, City A.C were 27/1 at stumps.
Kazi Md Safin (85) helped White Border Club post 235. Asish Pathak bagged 4 for 81. In reply, Amature CC were 41/4 at stumps.
