Andhra trail by 70 runs against Bengal on Day 3 in Ranji Trophy

Mohammad Kaif (2-37), Akash Deep (2-81), Ishan Porel (1-78) and Pradipta Pramanik (1-95) were impressive with the ball as Bengal reduced Andhra Pradesh to 339/6 in the first innings at stumps on Day 3 in their opening Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
The home side were still 70 runs behind after Bengal managed to post a commendable total of 409 in their first innings.
Ricky Bhui scored a fine unbeaten 107 for Andhra.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 119/3, skipper Hanuma Vihari (51) guided team past the 200-run mark but his stay at the crease was cut short by Akash Deep.
After his dismissal, Ricky played sensibly without taking much risks.
He was well supported by K Nitish Kumar (30) and Shoiab Mohammad Khan (31 not out).
