Suvankar (181), Avilin (139) power Mohun Bagan to 478/3
against Bhawanipore in First Division League

Riding on brilliant unbeaten centuries by Suvankar Bal (181) and Avilin Ghosh (139), Mohun Bagan Club managed to post 478/3 in their first innings against Bhawanipore Club in the CAB First Division League Group A match at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
In reply, Bhawanipore Club were 142/4 at stumps on Day 2. Rohit Kumar and Avilin bagged two wickets each.
In the second match, Town Club managed to grab first innings lead after their match against BNR Recreation Club ended in a draw on the third and final day. Earlier, Shakir Habib Gandhi smashed a brilliant 209 as Town Club posted a massive 624/8 in their first innings.
In reply, despite centuries by Avinash Kumar (127) and Abhijeet Bhagat (104), BNR Recreation Club fell short of Town’s total posting 408/7 in their first innings. Sujit Kumar Yadav (5-75) was impressive with the ball.
Town Club, in their second innings, were 64/4 decl. Chasing 281 to win, BNR Recreation Club were 50 for no loss at stumps on the final day.
In the third match, Rishabh Vivek (3-28) and Ramesh Prasad (3-43) were impressive with the ball as Tapan Memorial Club bundled out Paikpara Sporting Club for just 164 in their first innings.
Earlier, Tapan Memorial Club managed to post 336 in their first innings, thanks to Shantanu (68), Akash Shukla (65) and Gulzar Singh (51).
For Paikpara Sporting Club, Vishwajeet Mishra (5-69) was superb with the ball. Following on, Paikpara Sporting Club, in their second innings were 7 for no loss at stumps.
In the fourth match, Anurag Tiwari (7-54) was brilliant with the ball as Barisha Sporting Club bowled out Kalighat Club for 212 in their first innings.
Kaushik Ghosh top-scored with fine 78. In reply, Barisha Sporting Club were 78/6 at stumps. Sayed Irfan Aftab bagged 5 for 30.
In the fifth match, Shashank Singh (73), Satyaki Dutta (60) and Arpan De (65) helped East Bengal Club post 349 in their first innings.
For Md. Sporting Club, Nitin Verma (3-57) was the pick of the bowlers. In reply, Md. Sporting Club were 122/5 at stumps. Ayan Bhattacharya bagged three wickets.
