Raju bags 5 as Belgachia United Club win big in CAB First Division Two-Day meet

Raju R (5-14) was superb with the ball as Belgachia United Club defeated Shambazar Club by 304 runs on the second day in the CAB First Division League Group B & C Two-Day match on Saturday. Earlier, Chandan Singh scored a brilliant 156 along with Tanmoy Kundu (92) as Belgachia United Club managed to post 374/8 on Day 1. In reply, Shambazar Club were bundled out for just 70.
In other matches, A brilliant 136 by Sandeep Mittal was not enough as Shibpur Institute went down to Kidderpore Sporting Club by 42 runs. Earlier, Abhishek Banerjee scored a fine 105 along with Rohan Rathi (87) as Kidderpore Sporting Club posted 381 on Day 1. Amit Kr Pandey (5-118) impressed with the ball. In reply, Shibpur Institute were bowled out for 339. Arun Kumar Chaurasia and Arun Chaprana bagged three wickets each.
Uttam Roy Chowdhury (83) and Md Sharukh (5-55) helped E.Rly.Sporting Association beat Kolkata Union Sporting Club by 7 wickets. Earlier, Aishwary Marya smashed a fine 122 as Kolkata Union Sporting Club managed to post 251. In reply, E.Rly.Sporting Association chased it down, scoring 252/3 in 52.3 overs.
A fine 122 by Gaurav Jathar was not enough as Aryan Club went down to Aikya Sammilani by 49 runs. Earlier, Uddipan Mukherjee (101) helped Aikya Sammilani post 280. For Aryan Club, Bapi Manna bagged three wickets. In reply, Aryan Club were bowled put for 231.
Vivek Kumar Singh (4-39) and Anish Dutta (4-34) were impressive with the ball as Kumartuli Institute defeated Dalhousie A.C by 217 runs. Earlier, Sayan Paul (63) helped Kumartuli Institute post 308 on Day 1. Ankur Singh and Ashish Yadav bagged three wickets. In reply, Dalhousie A.C were bundled out for just 91.
Abhijit Biswas (71) and Vishal Kr Roy (4-50) helped Rajasthan Club beat Dakshin Kolkata Sansad by 5 wickets. Earlier, Dakshin Kolkata Sansad managed to post 229, thanks to Krishna Palai (60). In reply, Rajasthan Club chased it down, scoring 232/5 in 64.3 overs.
