Suraj bags 7 for Calcutta Custom Club against
Bhawanipore Club in First Division League

Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (7-47) was superb with the ball as Calcutta Custom Club gathered a vital second innings lead to remain on top against Bhawanipore Club at the end of the second day in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Tuesday.
After posting 208 in their first innings, Calcutta Custom Club bundled out Bhawanipore for just 158 in 45.5 overs. Besides Suraj, Pintu (3-23) was impressive with the ball. Uvais Ahmed top-scored with 61 runs for Bhawanipore. Calcutta Custom, in their second innings, were 84/1 at stumps on Day 2 with a handy 134-run lead.
In other matches, East Bengal took first innings lead after their match against Town Club ended in a draw. After posting 377/9 in their first innings, East Bengal bundled out Town Club for just 160. Following on, Town Club in their second innings were reduced to 198/6 at stumps on the third and final day. Arka Sarkar and Writtick Chatterjee bagged two wickets each.
Paikpara Sporting Club managed to post 265 in their first innings. For BNR Recreation Club, Narayan Rana, Abhishek Vats, Rahul Basfore, and Anirban Gupta bagged two wickets each. In reply, BNR Recreation Club were 140/6 at stumps on Day 2.
