Chandrahas hits 124 as Bengal U-19 eye victory in Cooch Behar Trophy

Chandrahas Dash smashed a superb unbeaten 124 as Bengal Under-19 team displayed a dominant all-round show to remain on top against Andhra at stumps on Day 3 in the Cooch Behar Trophy in Kalyani on Sunday.
After posting 208 in their first innings, Bengal bundled out Andhra for just 101, thus gaining a vital lead.
Resuming the day from overnight score of 79/5, Bengal managed to score 257 in their second innings to hand a massive 365-run target to Andhra.
Enroute his 231-ball innings, Chandrahas struck 11 boundaries and three sixes. He was well supported by Rahul Prasad (43).
For Andhra, Dvs Sriram (5-37) was the pick of the bowlers.
Chasing a challenging target, Andhra were struggling at 97/4 at the end of the third day’s play, needing 268 runs more to win on the fourth and final day.
For Bengal, Priyanshu Patel (2-14), Rahul (1-7) and Vishal Shaw (1-13) impressed with the ball and kept the home side just six wickets away from a fantastic victory.
