Bengal Under-23 team went down to Uttar Pradesh by 168 runs in the Men's State A One-Day Trophy in Chandigarh on Thursday.
Batting first, skipper Sameer Rizvi Roy smashed a superb 121 as UP posted a challenging 357/6 in 50 overs.
For Bengal, Anubhav Tyagi (3-42) impressed with the ball while Amrit Raj Upadhyay, Arin Roy and Ravi Kumar bagged a wicket each.
In reply, despite a fighting 95 by Mohit Roy, Bengal were bowled out for 189 in 33.5 overs.
