Bengal Sr Women rout Pondicherry by 101 runs in T20 meet

A superb all-round performance helped Bengal outclass Pondicherry by 101 runs in the Senior Women's T20 Tournament in Vadodara on Sunday.
Batting first, Deepti Sharma smashed an excellent unbeaten 70 off just 51 balls along with Richa Ghosh (63 not out off 26 balls) as Bengal posted a competitive 167/3 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, Pondicherry lost wickets at regular intervals, thus managing only 66/8 in 20 overs.
For Bengal, Saika Ishaque (3-10), Deepti (1-13), Titas Sadhu (1-12), Sukanya Parida (1-7), Mita Paul (1-12) and S P Aich (1-6) were impressive with the ball.
