62 runs in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Meet

A superb batting effort followed by a dominant performance by the bowlers helped Bengal Senior Men's team outclass Pondicherry by 62 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament in Mohali on Thursday.
Batting first, Abhishek Porel (73 not out off 52 balls), skipper Sudip Kumar Gharami (68 off 37 balls) and Shahbaz Ahmed (38 not out off 10 balls) powered Bengal to a massive 225/3 in 20 overs.
In reply, Pondicherry fell short of the target and were bowled out for 163 in 19.5 overs.
For Bengal, Akash Deep (3-20), Ishan Porel (3-25) Ravi Kumar (2-25) and Pradipta Pramanik (1-32) were impressive with the ball.
